Restylane

Restylane is an instant volumizer needing little to no downtime. With age, your skin loses volume, developing recognizable as wrinkles and folds. Of course, there are a number of injectable cosmetic fillers to improve one’s facial appearance, for an enhanced youthful look without plastic surgery. These fillers restore lost volume and decrease volume of skin wrinkles. Collagen and fat are two traditional fillers used for cosmetic enhancement, but they can have tradeoffs.

Given this, Restylane has a number of advantages over other injections. The hyaluronic acid composing Restylane is found naturally in our bodies, providing volume and fullness to the skin. Restylane has been clinically proven to last longer than collagen injections, since it maintains its shape utilizing the body’s own moisture. Fat injections, although usually last longer, requires a more involved procedure and requires more down-time than Restylane.

Restylane

Restylane is a non-animal, biodegradable gel based on hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide (a natural sugar) found in the skin. Hyaluronic acid’s primary function is providing volume and pliability to the skin. This unique property of hyaluronic acid is its ability to bind with water up to a thousand times its volume. This water-retaining property makes it ideal as a filler agent, for even while hyaluronic acid filler naturally degrades as it continues to attract more water to it. After Restylane injections, the skin appears healthier, fuller, and tighter.  As a result, lines, wrinkles, and folds improve. There are a number of other hyaluronic acid injectable fillers similar to Restylane, including Hylaform, Captique, and Juviderm.
