Hispanic Skin Treatment
Radiant Medspa recognizes how Hispanic skin can be different. Pigmentary disorders are common among the Hispanic population. One of the most common pigmentary disorders is melasma, discoloration of the skin, associated with the female hormones estrogen and progesterone; however, melasma can certainly occur in Hispanic men. Though not as frequent, Hispanics are also susceptible to vitiligo—a condition in which the skin loses melanin, the pigment that determines the color of the skin. Yet another Hispanic condition is acanthosis nigricans, a dark, thick, velvety skin in body folds and creases. Also, postinflammatory hyperpigmentation is common secondary to skin disorders such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis, but can also follow trauma such as burns, skin irritants, and insect bites.
Radiant Medspa is especially adept at treating these skin condition for Hispanics, at our locations in Seattle and Lynnwood. For a complimentary consultation, call Radiant Medspa at 206-402-3063.
